Last Thursday, the Herencia City Council held its final session of the current legislative term. During the session, the amendment to the Regulation Ordinance for the aesthetic conditions of the buildings in the city center was unanimously approved. Previously, the measure only covered the Plaza de España, but it has now been expanded to include Colón Street and the Plaza de la Virgen. This will allow more buildings to benefit from the improvement and refurbishment of their facades and signage, contributing to a unified style and enhancing the beauty of the urban center.
Another item on the agenda was the modification of the position of the technical engineer of the R.P.T. to the position of urban planner. This modification maintains the same group, level, compensation, and functions, but expands the required qualifications to fill the position.
Finally, during the account-giving section, Mayor Sergio García-Navas informed attendees about various ongoing projects in collaboration with the Regional Administration and the Ciudad Real Provincial Council. Among these, he highlighted the renovation of the road connecting Herencia with Villafranca de los Caballeros, for which the project has already been published, and the improvements that will be made to the “Carreterín de Villarta”. For the latter project, agreements have recently been signed with landowners to acquire the necessary land for the improvement of the road.
