Aktive Kosmos organizes the Erasmus+ Youth Exchange: “Ready Set Go” in Herencia, Ciudad Real. What is it? An international camp with young people from other countries! and for free!
Who is Aktive Kosmos? Aktive Kosmos, a Herencia Youth Association, does it again, another Erasmus+ project in our town. Aktive Kosmos is involved in youth development and volunteering and is pleased to announce the Erasmus+ Youth Exchange “Ready Set Go” that will take place in the town of Herencia. The course, which will take place from August 23 to 30, 2023, will bring together young people aged 13 to 20 from different parts of the world to engage in outdoor leisure activities.
What will the young people do? Young people will be able to learn about other cultures, teach the treasures of the town of Herencia to other young people, participate in daily activities related to sports, the environment, personal development, theater, leadership, languages, etc.
Who participates and what is learned? The youth exchange will involve young people and youth leaders from Serbia, Portugal, Italy, Turkey, Spain, and Malta, who will come together in a multicultural environment to learn, share experiences, and promote intercultural understanding. The objectives of the event focus on learning and personal development, including reflection and problem-solving, environmental education, outdoor activities, leadership, and the development of a healthy lifestyle.
This exchange is a unique opportunity for the young people of Herencia who participate to immerse themselves in an enriching cultural exchange and develop valuable skills that will help them in their personal and professional growth.
The young people of Herencia and its surroundings will also have the opportunity to join the event as volunteers, supporting logistical functions and participating in the organization of the exchange. However, participants must be between 13 and 20 years old. Additionally, both participants and monitors will be able to share aspects of their culture, such as cuisine, music, and recreational activities, with the international participants during the exciting “Intercultural Night”.
The most surprising thing? Everything is free! This project is funded by the European Union through the Erasmus program and the Malta National Youth Agency, which allows participants to have accommodation, activities, and meals covered during the days of activities.
