The deadline for submitting works ended last Friday, February 28th, at 9:00 am, the jury of the “V Painting Contest ‘In the Key of Woman'” made its decision, a contest that values talent and artistic expression from a gender perspective every year.
The jury, composed of painting specialists María del Señor Fernández-Amaro Díaz-Pavón and José Raúl Ramírez López, awarded the first prize, worth 600 euros, to artist Virginia Caro Gómez – P, from Manzanares, for her work “Alquimia del Nacimiento.”
Additionally, the jury recognized the quality of the work of the finalists, Clara Eugenia Úbeda – Contreras Díaz – Pacheco and Lucía Cassiraga, whose works will also be part of the upcoming exhibition.
The selected works from the contest will be exhibited in the Patio de la Casa de Herencia during the months of March and April. Those interested can visit them from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, a unique opportunity to appreciate the talent of the participating artists and reflect on the representation of women in contemporary art.
The organizers of the contest expressed deep gratitude to all the artists who participated in this edition and congratulated the winner and finalists for their outstanding contribution to the world of art.
