The town of Herencia once again demonstrates its strong commitment to grassroots sports by participating in the Marina Baixa Cup 2025, an international football tournament taking place this week across various locations on the Costa Blanca. Two teams from the Municipal Sports Schools, in the Cadete and Infantil categories, will represent the municipality at this significant sporting event.
The delegation set off a few days ago filled with excitement and eager to enjoy a unique experience that combines sports, camaraderie, and personal growth. The young footballers from Herencia will compete alongside teams from different parts of Spain and abroad in a tournament renowned for its competitive level and multicultural atmosphere.
Before their departure, the Councillor for Sports, Serafín Tajuelo, personally visited to say farewell to the players and their coaches, wishing them luck and encouraging them to make the most of this adventure, regardless of the sporting outcomes. “Participating in a tournament of this nature is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. They will learn, have fun, and above all, proudly represent the name of Herencia.”
The Marina Baixa Cup will run until next Sunday, with venues in municipalities such as Benidorm, Altea, La Nucía, and Villajoyosa. Friends, family, and teammates from Herencia will closely follow the progress of the teams with pride and enthusiasm.
