This Saturday, Herencia experienced a day that perfectly illustrates why Carnival is much more than just a schedule of events. The Sábado de los Ansiosos, in the midst of its 20th anniversary celebration, once again became an intergenerational meeting point, featuring activities from the afternoon and a late-night finale that clearly indicated a strong turnout and vibrant atmosphere.
The program began at the Municipal Auditorium with two performances of the 10th Charity Gala “Los Madruga”, starring the chirigota “Los Pelendengues”. Scheduled for 5:30 PM and 8:00 PM, these shows were charitable events to benefit AsoNevus, setting a jovial tone filled with humor, tradition, and social commitment.
As the night progressed, the focus shifted to the Carnival Palace, where one of the most iconic moments of the weekend took place at midnight: the Campanadas Uvautreras, celebrating its 20th edition this year. With the traditional distribution of Utrera cakes, Herencia welcomed the “Herencian New Year” in a scene that, two decades later, still brings people together around shared symbols and experiences.
Starting at 12:30 AM, the celebration continued with a performance by the Orquesta Vulkano, followed by a DJ session with Koreg in the early hours, rounding off a much-anticipated and lively night for carnival enthusiasts.

Before the celebration, the organizing committee, through the Herencia Town Hall, issued an official statement emphasizing the importance of enjoying the Sábado de los Ansiosos responsibly.
