The town bids farewell to 2025, looking forward to summer with the launch of PURA ESHENCIA, a new festival celebrating “music with roots that unites generations.” Its inaugural edition will take place on June 27 at the José María Fernández de la Puebla Football Field. The lineup features Pole, El Arrebato, Leire Martínez, and Les Castizos, along with local talent Venus Astra, offering over eight hours of non-stop music.
PURA ESHENCIA aims to highlight popular music that connects with collective memory and has accompanied various generations. The goal is to create an intergenerational gathering that blends styles and sensibilities in one night, bringing major live performances to the public at affordable prices.
A Collaborative Model for Major Productions
The festival is the result of a public-private collaboration model that combines efforts and resources to promote culture as a social and economic engine. PURA ESHENCIA is born from the joint effort of the Herencia City Council and the Castilla-La Mancha Regional Government, with investment from Heredia Producciones and sponsorship from Fibritel.
Chus Heredia, the festival promoter, highlighted during the presentation that “tickets are now available at a promotional launch price of €30,” offering an opportunity to secure a spot at “an event that aims to become a must-attend for the start of summer in Castilla-La Mancha.”
According to Mayor Sergio García-Navas, “this project allows Herencia to strengthen its commitment to culture, live music, and the social and tourism dynamization of the municipality, pushing for an ambitious, accessible, and identifiable program, thanks to collaboration from the Regional Government and private investment and courage.”
In the same vein, Aitor Gallego de la Sacristana, City Councilor for Culture, emphasized “the importance of promoting our own culture as a hallmark and tourist attraction. The music we all carry inside will have its grand moment in Herencia: eight hours to feel who we are, sing until we lose our voices, and share our PURA ESHENCIA.”
