The EM&E Group, a leading Spanish company in defense and security innovation and technology, has today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Tecnove, a Spanish manufacturer and maintenance provider of specialized vehicles, and the Ukrainian manufacturer of armored military vehicles, Practika. The partnership aims to develop advanced mobile solutions for the defense, security, and civil protection sectors. The agreement was signed by the presidents of the three companies: Javier Escribano, Eusebio Ramírez, and Oleg Vysotska, in an event attended by Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Defense Minister Margarita Robles, and Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares.
This strategic alliance aims to combine the technological, industrial, and integration capabilities of the three companies to create comprehensive and versatile cutting-edge solutions, such as military armored support vehicles, specialized platforms (ambulances, electronic warfare vehicles, etc.), non-military transport vehicles for demining equipment, and other industrial cooperation in defense to strengthen both the Spanish and Ukrainian industries.
As part of this agreement, signed during Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s official visit to Spain, EM&E Group will provide its latest technology in remote weapon stations to equip Practika’s advanced armored vehicles, leveraging Tecnove’s expertise in the integration and transformation of specialized vehicles.
This MoU demonstrates the commitment of all three companies to enhance industrial cooperation between Spain and Ukraine in the defense sector, aligning with European efforts to strengthen strategic autonomy. The collaboration between companies from both countries represents a joint commitment to a more robust, integrated, and responsive European defense framework capable of addressing complex scenarios.
