Herencia once again became the center of provincial rhythmic gymnastics this Sunday, hosting a Provincial Championship for the second time in its history, after the one held in 2019.
This time, the event was the Provincial Base B School Championship, which brought together over 400 gymnasts from various clubs throughout the province, creating an atmosphere filled with effort, sportsmanship, and community support.
The town congratulated all participants and, in particular, the students from the Municipal Sports Schools for their impressive performances. Special recognition goes to the cadet team, made up of Nayra López Ramírez, Inés García Moreno, Eva Pérez de Bustos Statescu, and Cynthia Martín-Toledano Díaz-Flores, who achieved a third place in the competition.
Thanks were also given to the coaches of the school and to the families for their involvement and dedication, which made it possible for the championship to take place in Herencia, as well as for their ongoing support of the gymnasts throughout the day.
The medal ceremony was attended by Serafín Tajuelo, the Councilor for Sports of the Herencia City Council, along with other officials and federation representatives.
