Herencia will host the 4th edition of the “Unpacking” event for furniture and decor on April 11.

Herencia will once again serve as a meeting point for those who enjoy restoring, collecting, or seeking pieces with history. On Saturday, April 11, the Municipal Park (Teleclub) will host the 4th edition of the “Desembalaje” for Furniture and Decoration, an event that combines a market, exchanges, and live practical activities.

This event, organized by the Universidad Popular de Herencia in collaboration with the local Town Hall, will run from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. During the morning, the space will transform into a sort of “live market” where locals and visitors can exchange, buy, or sell furniture and decorative items, ranging from small pieces to elements with potential for a second life.

Beyond the commercial aspect, the “Desembalaje” aims to maintain its educational and informative character. According to the information on the poster, the schedule includes live workshops and practical tips, designed both for beginners in furniture restoration and for those with experience who want to learn new techniques. The idea is for the audience to see processes, materials, and tricks firsthand, in a friendly and participatory environment.

This initiative is part of an increasingly present trend in daily life: reusing, repairing, and supporting a circular economy instead of quick purchases. In these types of gatherings, the value lies not only in finding a bargain or a special piece but also in sharing knowledge and continuing trades and skills related to restoration and decoration.

For those seeking more information, it is available at the Culture House during morning hours (9:00 AM to 2:00 PM), or you can contact them by phone at 926 57 36 96.

With this fourth edition, the “Desembalaje” reinforces its position in the local calendar as a unique activity meant for enjoying leisurely, exploring, learning, and perhaps walking away with that piece of furniture or decorative detail you won’t find in any store window.
