On Saturday, October 19, 2024, at 8:30 p.m., Puente Tocinos will host the II National Folklore Festival “Cuna del Belén”, an event that promises to fill the Party Venue of the town in Murcia with music, tradition, and colorful. This cultural event will feature the participation of several renowned folk groups from Spain, who have been specially invited for the occasion.
Among the highlights of the evening are the Folkloric Group Villa de Alhama (Murcia), the Folkloric Group Herencia (Ciudad Real), and, of course, the hosts from the community group La Morenica from Puente Tocinos, who will showcase the region’s traditions. This event is a unique opportunity to enjoy the cultural richness and folklore from different parts of Spain, coming together on a stage where music and traditional dances will be the protagonists.
During the event, a special tribute will also be paid with the presentation of the “La Morenica de Plata” award to a distinguished resident of Puente Tocinos, in an emotional ceremony that reflects the community spirit and tradition of the town.
The event will be presented by Antonio Liza, known for his work as a presenter on LA7 TV. The organization is led by the Peña Huertana La Morenica, with the collaboration of the City Council of Murcia and the Municipal Board of Puente Tocinos, reinforcing the commitment of local institutions to preserve and promote folklore and popular customs.
