Herencia has announced that the extraction service at the Herencia Health Center will add one more day per week. This measure aims to reduce travel and improve patient care. Mayor Sergio García-Navas thanked the regional government for its commitment to Primary Care and indicated that these improvements will be implemented in the coming weeks in Herencia.
Vaccination Without Appointment, 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM
Today marks the II Regional Influenza Vaccination Day, organized by the Castilla-La Mancha Health Department and SESCAM, with 16 designated locations throughout the region. One of these locations is the Herencia health center, which is open from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM for the entire population, no appointment needed.
The Director General of Public Health, Joaquín Torres Moreno, visited the site in the morning alongside officials from the Integrated Care Management of Alcázar de San Juan and health professionals. They were also joined by the Councilor for Social Welfare, Conchi Rodríguez-Palancas, and the mayor, who encouraged everyone to get vaccinated by receiving their doses themselves.
Public Health Message
Torres emphasized that vaccination is the most effective measure to reduce respiratory complications, hospital admissions, and mortality associated with the flu, particularly for the elderly, people with chronic conditions, children, and other at-risk groups.
García-Navas reminded that the municipality has joined the National Community Health Strategy, which will help strengthen preventive campaigns, improve local health diagnostics, and promote healthy habits, while the project for the new Health Center is underway.
