Herencia takes the Workshops to the Sierra de la Horca.

The Youth Week in Herencia continues this Thursday, July 16th, with an event designed for enjoying summer evenings outdoors. The “Workshops in the Open Air” will take place around the first mill of Sierra de la Horca, featuring creative activities, music, and community engagement in one of the town’s most notable locations.

The event will run from 8:30 PM to 10:30 PM, coinciding with the cooler part of the day when people are encouraged to enjoy time outside. No prior registration is required, and the activities will be organized in rotating workshops, allowing participants to try out various activities throughout the evening.

Balloon Twisting, Keychains, and Recycled Flowers

The program includes three open and interactive workshops. One will be dedicated to beginner balloon twisting, aimed at teaching participants how to create figures from balloons and introducing them to a technique closely tied to children’s and youth animation.

There will also be a keychain workshop using magic plastic, where attendees can design their own pieces and take home a personalized creation. The third activity will focus on making flowers from recycled materials, promoting creativity and material reuse.

The workshops are designed for participants of all skill levels, allowing anyone to join without prior experience. The flexible structure encourages young people, families, and groups of friends to drop by at their convenience during the scheduled hours.

Music and Summer Vibes with DJ Isaac Romero

In addition to the workshops, the event will feature musical entertainment by DJ Isaac Romero, bringing rhythm to the night at Sierra de la Horca. This initiative aims to combine crafts, music, and social interaction in a relaxed and accessible setting suitable for summer.

The chosen slogan for the event, “When the Sun Goes Down, the Plans Begin,” encapsulates the spirit of this gathering, which is part of the 2026 Youth Week. The Town Hall of Herencia is committed to programming that utilizes outdoor spaces and offers healthy leisure alternatives during the evening hours.

The backdrop of the first mill at Sierra de la Horca adds special value to the event. It is a location closely tied to the image of Herencia and its landscape, allowing attendees to experience local heritage in a more informal and engaging way.

An Open Invitation for Youth and Families

The “Workshops in the Open Air” are part of a Youth Week that is bringing various cultural, creative, and leisure activities to different areas within the community. This initiative is geared towards those looking for a unique plan without the need to travel outside Herencia.

The absence of prior registration makes it easy for anyone interested to join in. Participants only need to arrive at the first mill of Sierra de la Horca during the allotted time and take part in the available workshops.

For any questions or further information, the Youth Center of Herencia can be reached at their usual contact points on Avenida Tierno Galván, s/n, by phone at 663 744 782, and via email at [email protected].

This event invites everyone to create, share, and enjoy a summer night in a unique setting—a simple formula that combines leisure, creativity, and music to continue enlivening the youth programming in the municipality.
