Two Sahrawi children are looking for foster families in Herencia this summer.

Sure! Here’s the translation to English:

Solidarity is once again knocking on the doors of the municipality with the program Vacations in Peace, an initiative that offers Sahrawi boys and girls from the refugee camps in Tindouf (Algeria) the chance to enjoy a summer away from the harsh desert conditions.

During the months of July and August, these children will find in Manchego homes not only refuge from the extreme heat and usual shortages, but also love, rest, proper nutrition, and basic medical care.

Currently, two children are waiting to be welcomed in Herencia, but time is pressing. The organizing associations are making an urgent appeal to the public to find two compassionate families willing to participate in this transformative experience.

The program, in addition to being a window into new cultures for all members of the household, covers all medical expenses, insurance, and basic needs of the child, and has the support of associations that accompany host families throughout the process.

“No prior experience is necessary. Just a willingness to share, care, and offer an opportunity,” underline the organizers, who appeal to the sensitivity and social commitment of the people of Herencia.

Do you want to take the step?

This summer, hosting changes lives.
Host. Share. Transform.
