Herencia hosts the presentation of the Tecnove Custom Trucks project.

Herencia hosted the presentation of the project “Tecnove Custom Trucks: Innovation, Industry, and Housing for a New Generation” this morning. This initiative positions the municipality within the discussion on new construction methods, industrialized housing, and collaboration between private companies and public administrations.

The event brought together José Manuel Caballero, the Deputy Vice President of the Castilla-La Mancha Government; Nacho Hernando, the Regional Minister of Development; Sergio García-Navas, the Mayor of Herencia; and Eusebio Ramírez, the President of Tecnove. The presentation addressed one of the major challenges currently facing the region and many municipalities: expanding housing supply in a more agile, accessible manner tailored to the needs of young people, families, and vulnerable groups.

Housing as a Regional Priority

During the presentation, José Manuel Caballero emphasized that housing is a top priority for the Castilla-La Mancha Government. He highlighted the need for increased investment, support for rehabilitation, and enhanced assistance for young people and those facing greater access challenges.

The shortage of available housing has become an escalating concern in many municipalities, affecting not only large cities but also the ability of smaller towns to retain young residents, attract workers, facilitate new life projects, and support economic development.

In this context, collaboration with companies that can provide industrial solutions may help to shorten timelines and open up new opportunities. While industrialized housing does not resolve all the issues of the residential market, it offers a complementary approach to meet a demand that requires speed, planning, and coordination.

The Push for Industrialized Housing

Nacho Hernando, the Regional Minister of Development, emphasized the potential role of industrialized housing in the coming years. He noted that this model will receive additional funding in the new State Plan, a measure aimed at promoting faster and more efficient construction systems.

Industrialized construction allows for the manufacturing of some housing components in controlled environments before final assembly. This approach can reduce execution times and improve cost forecasting, though its implementation requires available land, suitable regulations, financing, and well-designed projects.

The involvement of Tecnove in Herencia adds an industrial dimension to the project. The company has a history of producing and adapting specialized solutions, connecting innovation, production capacity, and housing needs in this line of work.

Herencia Revitalizes Land and Developments

Mayor Sergio García-Navas championed the need for coordinated efforts between public administrations and the private sector to expedite the construction of new homes in communities. He noted that the Town Hall is advancing three urban planning initiatives and has reactivated stalled developments, aiming to increase residential offerings in the locality.

Housing is crucial for the future of towns like Herencia. Having sufficient housing options can help prevent young people from leaving due to a lack of choices, allow new families to settle, and ensure that economic growth is also addressed through urban planning.

The project presented in Herencia specifically highlights the connection between industry, housing, and territory. Constructive innovation can directly impact daily life if it translates into real, accessible housing solutions that are well-integrated into the municipality.

The presentation of “Tecnove Custom Trucks: Innovation, Industry, and Housing for a New Generation” clearly conveys one key message: access to housing necessitates new tools and greater coordination. Herencia aims to be part of that response through urban planning, institutional collaboration, and leveraging its business community.
